UI/UX Specialist - Hybrid

BAE Systems is seeking a User Interface (UI/UX) Designer in Washington, DC, to enhance user satisfaction and interface usability for complex applications. This role involves translating application purpose into sophisticated, user-friendly designs while ensuring 508 compliance.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Conduct user research, identify pain points, and simplify design elements.
• Develop wireframes for user stories and minimize development rework.
• Create website and interface mockups utilizing best usability practices.
• Design interface elements (menus, tabs) using design templates and UI Libraries.
• Test and troubleshoot user experience issues.
• Collaborate with business teams to incorporate business needs into design.
• Develop style guides and common component libraries.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Federal Public Trust.
• 5+ years of UI/UX experience supporting complex user interfaces.
• Expertise in 508 compliance testing and design.
• Experience with projects written in Angular 2+.
• Proficient in wireframe tasks and tools.
• Awareness of design trends, best practices, and tools.
• Skilled in VISIO, InVision, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, and similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, and other common coding languages.
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience with Human-Centered Design.
• Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.

• *Salary Range:** $115,779 - $196,825
