Job Description

Summary

Seeking experienced Attorneys (J.D., U.S. citizen) with 1.5+ years post-J.D. legal experience for complex litigation.

## Attorney (GS-13/14/15)

Join our team as an Attorney, contributing to critical legal analysis, complex litigation, and document preparation within a government setting. We are seeking dedicated legal professionals committed to public service.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform comprehensive legal analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs, and other court documents for civil or criminal litigation involving unique and difficult legal issues.
  • Lead and conduct highly complex civil or criminal litigation proceedings.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to paralegals and support staff.
### Required Qualifications:
  • J.D. Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited school of law.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Minimum post-J.D. legal or relevant experience:
* **GS-13:** 1.5 years * **GS-14:** 2.5 years * **GS-15:** 4 years
  • Proven experience in legal analysis, composing court documents, and conducting complex litigation.
### Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Outstanding advocacy and legal writing skills.
  • Experience drafting/arguing motions, handling discovery, taking/defending depositions, developing expert witness testimony, and trying cases.
### Additional Information:
  • A 2-year trial period is required for this position to evaluate fitness and alignment with public interest.
