Job Description

Summary

Seeking experienced legal professionals with J.D. and bar membership for government roles requiring litigation expertise.

Seeking a skilled legal professional. This role requires a J.D. degree, active bar membership (any U.S. jurisdiction), and U.S. citizenship.

  • *Required Experience:**
  • GS-12: Min. 1 year post-J.D. legal or relevant experience
  • GS-13: Min. 1.5 years post-J.D. legal experience
  • GS-14: Min. 2.5 years post-J.D. legal experience
  • GS-15: Min. 4 years post-J.D. legal experience
  • *Note: Meeting minimum experience does not guarantee selection at a specific grade.*
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong advocacy and legal writing skills
  • Proven experience in litigation, including:
* Drafting and arguing motions * Managing discovery * Taking and defending depositions * Developing expert testimony * Trial experience

  • *Additional Requirement:**
  • Successful candidates will serve a mandatory 2-year trial period.
