Experienced Attorney sought for complex federal litigation and criminal investigations, requiring a JD, bar license, and specialized legal expertise.
Join our legal team as a highly experienced attorney specializing in complex federal litigation and criminal investigations. This role requires significant expertise in federal law and offers the opportunity to lead critical legal efforts.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Independently perform complex legal analysis.
- Compose pleadings, briefs, and other court documents for unique and difficult legal issues.
- Lead and manage highly complex civil or criminal litigation.
- Supervise paralegals and support staff.
- Potentially investigate criminal matters involving complex law enforcement techniques.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree.
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. State, Territory, or D.C.
- Active member of the bar in good standing.
- **For GS-15 Grade Level:**
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Knowledge of federal human smuggling/trafficking statutes, immigration law, or laws related to cartels/transnational organized crime.
- Prior experience with international criminal cases.
- Experience working in or with U.S. Attorneys' Offices.
- At least two (2) years of trial experience as a prosecutor or trial attorney handling criminal matters.
- Experience investigating complex criminal matters using sensitive law enforcement techniques.
- Spanish-language fluency is a plus.
