Trial Attorney

Join our legal team as a highly experienced attorney specializing in complex federal litigation and criminal investigations. This role requires significant expertise in federal law and offers the opportunity to lead critical legal efforts.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Independently perform complex legal analysis.
• Compose pleadings, briefs, and other court documents for unique and difficult legal issues.
• Lead and manage highly complex civil or criminal litigation.
• Supervise paralegals and support staff.
• Potentially investigate criminal matters involving complex law enforcement techniques.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent degree.
• Active license to practice law in any U.S. State, Territory, or D.C.
• Active member of the bar in good standing.
• **For GS-15 Grade Level:**

* Minimum of four (4) years of post-J.D. legal experience. * At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level (or equivalent), including independent legal analysis, complex litigation, and staff leadership.

• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Knowledge of federal human smuggling/trafficking statutes, immigration law, or laws related to cartels/transnational organized crime.
• Prior experience with international criminal cases.
• Experience working in or with U.S. Attorneys' Offices.
• At least two (2) years of trial experience as a prosecutor or trial attorney handling criminal matters.
• Experience investigating complex criminal matters using sensitive law enforcement techniques.
• Spanish-language fluency is a plus.
