Summary
Experienced attorney sought to lead complex federal criminal litigation, conduct advanced legal analysis, and supervise legal teams.
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated attorney to manage complex legal challenges. This role involves advanced legal analysis, litigation, and team leadership within a federal context.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Independently perform complex legal analysis and research.
- Draft sophisticated legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and court filings, for civil and criminal litigation.
- Lead and conduct highly complex civil or criminal litigation.
- Supervise and mentor paralegals and legal support staff.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent.
- Active license to practice law in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Active member of the bar in good standing.
- Minimum of four (4) years of post-J.D. legal experience.
- At least one (1) year of specialized legal experience demonstrating:
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience in supporting, litigating, and supervising criminal cases in federal or state courts.
- Experience handling violent crime cases.
- Experience in federal criminal prosecutions, especially for the U.S. Department of Justice.
- Familiarity with preparing and submitting cases under the U.S. Department of Justice's death penalty protocol.
- Experience trying capital cases.
