Trial Attorney

We are seeking qualified attorneys to perform legal analysis, compose court documents, and conduct complex litigation. This role involves leading support staff and requires strong analytical, writing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Independently perform legal analysis.
• Compose pleadings, briefs, and other court documents, addressing unique or difficult legal issues.
• Conduct highly complex civil or criminal litigation.
• Lead paralegals and support staff.
• *Qualifications:**
• J.D. or equivalent degree.
• Licensed and authorized to practice law in any U.S. State, Territory, or D.C.
• Active member of the bar in good standing.
• *Minimum Post-JD Legal Experience Required (based on grade level):**
• **GS-13:** 1.5 years
• **GS-14:** 2.5 years
• **GS-15:** 4 years
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Excellent writing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment.
• Strong trial experience (preferred).

• A 2-year trial period is required, during which fitness and public interest contribution will be evaluated.
