Specialist in logistics and shipping data, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective stakeholder communication.

Join our team as a Shipping & Logistics Specialist, contributing to critical import/export data management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic environment. This role offers career progression from GS-09 to GS-12 based on experience and education.

  • *Core Responsibilities (Progressing with GS Level):**
  • **Data Management & Analysis:** Track projects, analyze, collect, and report on import/export shipping records and cargo data.
  • **Regulatory Compliance:** Provide guidance, ensure compliance, and work with external organizations (including government agencies and contractors) to access records and adhere to shipping requirements.
  • **Stakeholder Engagement:** Communicate guidance, serve as a liaison, and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties.
  • *Qualification Pathways:**
  • **GS-09 Level:**
* **Experience:** 1 year specialized experience (GS-07 equivalent) in tracking projects, communicating guidance, and/or performing shipping data analysis (import/export). * **Education:** Master's degree or 2 years progressively higher-level graduate education. * **Combination** of both.

  • **GS-11 Level:**
* **Experience:** 1 year specialized experience (GS-09 equivalent) in collecting/reporting cargo data, accessing shipping records with external organizations, and/or providing regulatory guidance. Relevant experience includes shipping, supply-chain, logistics, freight forwarding, or port operations. * **Education:** Ph.D. or 3 years progressively higher-level graduate education. * **Combination** of both.

  • **GS-12 Level:**
* **Experience:** 1 year specialized experience (GS-11 equivalent) working with government agencies/contractors for shipping records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a key liaison. Relevant experience includes senior journeyman level in shipping, supply-chain, logistics, or extensive freight forwarding/port operations experience. * **Note:** Education alone is *not* accepted for GS-12 qualification; experience is required.

  • *Key Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):**
  • **Technical Competence:** Apply acquired knowledge to perform job duties, understand technical information, and advise others.
  • **Information Management:** Skillfully gather, organize, maintain, evaluate, and communicate information.
  • *General Information:**
