Job Description

Summary

Conduct research, analyze data, and present findings on U.S. industrial base, national security, and critical technologies.

We are seeking highly analytical professionals to conduct critical research and analysis on the U.S. industrial base, national security, and advanced technologies. This role involves in-depth data evaluation, developing insightful reports, and presenting findings to various stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Conduct comprehensive trade and industry research and analysis, focusing on the U.S. industrial base, national security, and critical technologies.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to collect, organize, and evaluate complex data, identifying key findings and trends.
  • Draft and prepare clear, concise reports, written materials, and visualizations that effectively communicate analytical conclusions and assessments.
  • (For higher-level positions) Present analytical briefings to senior leaders, interorganizational partners, and industry representatives.
  • (For higher-level positions) Establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • *Experience:**
  • **GS-11 Equivalent:** One year of specialized experience in conducting trade/industry research and analysis, using data analysis tools, and assisting with analytical product preparation.
  • **GS-12 Equivalent:** One year of specialized experience at a higher level, involving comprehensive trade/industry research, advanced data analysis, drafting finished analytical products, presenting briefings, and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • *Note: Specialized experience includes both paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer experience, that has equipped you with the necessary competencies.*
  • *Education (for GS-11 Equivalent):**
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
  • or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree (e.g., Master's degree).
  • or an LL.M., if related to the field.
  • *A combination of qualifying education and experience is also accepted for the GS-11 level.*
