Summary
Seeking licensed physicians with accredited residency training to provide medical care within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
To qualify for a Physician position within the Department of Veterans Affairs, candidates must meet specific requirements focused on education, licensure, and training. This role is crucial for providing comprehensive medical care to our veterans.
- *Key Requirements:**
- **Citizenship:** United States Citizenship is generally required.
- **Education:** Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (do) degree from a VA-approved medical school.
- **Licensure:** Possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- **Residency Training:** Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. This includes programs approved by the ACGME, AOA, or specific non-U.S. residencies with subsequent U.S. practice as approved by the local Medical Staff Executive Committee.
