Telecommunications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to evaluate, analyze, develop, manage, and improve complex communications systems and procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of current communication concepts and technology trends.

• *Key Qualifications:**
• **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, which includes evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communication systems, procedures, and requirements.
• **Education (may substitute experience):**

* Undergraduate and/or Graduate degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Public Utilities, Statistics, Computer Science, Telecommunications Management, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field. * or, Communications/Electronics or Automatic Data Processing training from technical institutes, business schools, or Armed Forces schools with advanced instruction.

• **Competencies:** Critical Thinking, Emergency Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Stakeholder Management, Technical Competence, Technical Credibility, Technical Problem Solving, and Telecommunications expertise.
• *Physical Requirements:** Primarily sedentary work in an office setting. Ability to dispose of classified material weighing less than 20 pounds. Some travel may be required.
• *Note:** Qualifying experience includes both paid and unpaid work.
