Supervisory Staff Mediator (District Of Columbia Courts Agency Employees Only)

The DC Courts are seeking a dedicated professional to manage and provide mediation services.

• *Key Responsibilities (Implicit):**
• Lead and provide mediation services.
• Supervise and mentor staff involved in dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with diverse court personnel and customers.
• *Minimum Qualifications:**
• **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Dispute Resolution, Conflict Analysis and Resolution, or a closely related field. A Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.
• **Experience:**

* Minimum of five (5) years of mediation experience. * Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience. (One year of supervisory experience may be substituted with graduation from the DC Court's Management Training Program; documentation required.)

• **Training:** 40 hours of basic mediation training, or equivalent education in mediation or negotiation.
• **Certification:** Must meet requirements to provide mediation services in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia within one (1) year of appointment.
