Supervisory Social Worker

Join the VA as a Supervisory Social Worker (GS-13) and lead a team dedicated to providing essential clinical social work services. This role demands advanced practice skills, leadership, and a commitment to staff development and quality care.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Provide expert clinical supervision, consultation, and inter-departmental negotiation.
• Oversee and ensure the provision of high-quality clinical social work services by supervised staff.
• Organize work, set priorities, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Delegate authority, coordinate projects, and follow up on pending issues.
• Analyze organizational and operational problems, developing and implementing solutions for efficiency.
• Utilize data to manage workload, quality, performance, and productivity.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive staff training and professional development programs.
• *Minimum Requirements:**
• **Citizenship:** U.S. Citizenship is required.
• **Education:** Master's degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited school.
• **Licensure:** Current state licensure or certification to independently practice social work at the advanced practice level, with demonstrated ability to provide supervision for licensure.
• **Experience:** One year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, showcasing advanced practice skills, professional judgment, and progressively increasing competency. Certification or post-master's training from a nationally recognized organization or equivalent supervised experience is a plus.
• **Language:** Proficiency in spoken and written English.
