## Police Operations Supervisor

  • *Overview:**
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee and coordinate police operations, ensuring public safety and efficient law enforcement services.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Coordinate and supervise daily police operations.
  • Contribute data for budgetary planning, specifically for uniforms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to command staff on staffing, performance standards, and policy improvements.
  • Evaluate and review the performance of police personnel.
  • Foster high morale and maintain discipline within the police service.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08/NZ-08 level in Federal Service. This experience must include:
* Coordinating and supervising police operations. * Supplying data for budgetary needs (uniforms, equipment, supplies). * Providing recommendations on staffing, performance standards, and policies to command staff. * Rating and reviewing police personnel performance. * Promoting morale and maintaining discipline.
  • **Knowledge:** Demonstrated understanding of basic laws, regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques.
  • **Skills:** Proven ability to maintain order and protect life and property.
  • *Creditable Experience:**
Relevant experience can include work on a police force, military police service, visitor protection in natural resource environments, criminal investigative duties, or similar roles providing the required knowledge and skills. Both paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be considered.

  • *Additional Requirements:**
  • **Fitness Investigation:** A character investigation will be conducted to assess honesty, integrity, general character, and loyalty.
  • **Medical Standards:** Requires good near and distant vision, ability to distinguish basic colors, and ability to hear the conversational voice. Must possess the capacity for moderate to arduous physical exertion, perform essential functions without risk, and maintain emotional and mental stability.
