Summary
Seeking a highly-skilled law enforcement professional for mission-critical security operations, emergency management, and high-profile event planning.
This role is for a highly dedicated and physically capable individual within a critical law enforcement environment, focused on mission-essential security operations and emergency response.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations as a mission-essential employee.
- Maintain constant physical readiness to effectively engage in high-stress scenarios requiring maximum exertion.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans for emergency management and security operations.
- Support leadership in managing law enforcement operations, often navigating complex political environments.
- Plan security for major, high-profile events (federal, state, local).
- Trained in active shooter response and critical incident intervention.
- *Physical & Medical Requirements:**
- Pass annual medical and physical fitness examinations.
- Successfully qualify with designated weapons semi-annually.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including ballistic vests.
- Possess good near/distant vision, color distinction, hearing, and emotional/mental stability.
- Demonstrate agility, dexterity, and strength for prolonged standing, walking, driving, bending, stooping, carrying/dragging objects over 50 pounds, running, climbing, crouching, crawling, and kneeling, often in challenging environments.
- Capable of defending oneself or others against physical attacks and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
- *Training & Mobility:**
- Successfully complete a specialized law enforcement Uniformed Police Training Center (FLETC) or qualify for a waiver.
- Sign a mobility agreement as a condition of employment, allowing for potential relocation to various duty stations.
- May be required to sign a Continuing Service Agreement (CSA) after FLETC completion.
- *Qualifications (AD-15 Level):**
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the AD-14 grade level (federal or private sector).
- Demonstrated knowledge in federal, state, or local emergency management planning, including continuity of government and operations at a command level.
- Proven ability to think clearly and act effectively in emergency situations, assisting with strategic and tactical plan development and implementation.
- Experience assisting with leading and managing a law enforcement agency in environments requiring strong political acumen.
- Expertise in security event planning for major, high-profile events across federal, state, and/or local jurisdictions.
