Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist

Join our team as a Personnel Security Specialist responsible for ensuring the integrity of personnel security and suitability processes. You will leverage your expertise to manage complex cases and uphold compliance standards.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Independently analyze, review, and resolve complex personnel security and suitability issues.
• Ensure comprehensive understanding and application of background investigation requirements (e.g., forms, documentation, fingerprints).
• Plan and execute work assignments, proactively resolving conflicts and interpreting policy to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate and integrate tasks with colleagues to maintain operational efficiency.
• *Qualifications:**
• One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-11 level) applying a wide range of personnel security and suitability concepts, principles, and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of comprehensive background investigation processes and documentation.
• Proficiency with key security and HR systems, including but not limited to OPM's e-QIP, PIV, FTS, PIPS, VA CABS, HR SMART, QART, US ACCESS, and USA STAFFING.
• *Preferred Qualification:**
• Certification of Fundamentals of Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators.
• *Physical Requirements:**
• Primarily sedentary work; occasional walking and standing.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20-30 lbs (e.g., laptops, scanners) for transport.
