Seeking a GS-10 Medical Records Technician (Coder) for advanced coding, staff supervision, and data analysis in a healthcare setting.
Join our team as a Medical Records Technician (Coder) at the GS-10 level, responsible for advanced medical coding and supervisory duties within a healthcare environment.
- *Key Responsibilities (GS-10 Level):**
- Perform comprehensive supervisory duties, including staff assignments, work planning, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
- Apply advanced knowledge of current coding classification systems (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) for outpatient and inpatient services.
- Coordinate and provide staff development and training.
- Utilize strong leadership, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
- Collect, analyze, and present data to identify trends.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Minimum one year of creditable experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, demonstrating knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, medical coding, and health record structure.
- **Education:**
- **Certification:** Mastery Level Certification through AHIMA or AAPC is required.
- **Skills:**
- **General:** Must be a U.S. Citizen.
