Job Description

Summary

Opportunity for Financial Management experts to develop policies, resolve complex issues, and advise federal senior leadership.

We are seeking dedicated Financial Management Specialists at both the GS-13 and GS-14 levels to contribute to critical financial operations, policy development, and senior leadership advising within the federal service.

Key Responsibilities (May vary by GS level):

  • Develop and review a wide range of written materials concerning financial management.
  • Apply expertise in financial management laws and regulations.
  • Resolve complex financial, staffing, and contractual issues.
  • Coordinate leadership approval for essential financial documents.
  • Advise senior officials on high-level financial options and recommendations.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet all requirements within 30 days of the announcement closing.

For GS-14 Candidates:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, which includes:
* Developing and reviewing financial management materials, applying relevant laws/regulations. * Resolving issues and coordinating leadership approval for financial, staffing, and contractual documents. * Working with senior officials on high-level options and recommendations.
  • Federal Applicants: Must have served 52 weeks at the GS-13 level.

For GS-13 Candidates:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, which includes:
* Assisting in the development of financial management materials, applying relevant laws/regulations. * Working with and advising senior officials on high-level issues.
  • Federal Applicants: Must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 level.

General Federal Service Eligibility:

  • Current Federal employees on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
  • Experience can be gained in public, private, or volunteer service (full-time equivalent).
