Summary
Lead Navy acquisition logistics, specializing in Manpower, Personnel, Training, and NTSPs, managing teams and projects.
Job Title: Logistics Management Specialist (GS-12/NM-03 Equivalent)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage support teams, mentor technical staff, and develop workforce strategies.
- Oversee the production of logistics products, focusing on Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MP&T) or Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs), throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Lead or contribute to Acquisition Manpower Requirements Determinations and NTSP development, ensuring adherence to OPNAV, SECNAV, and NAVAIR instructions.
- Coordinate with Program Managers, Fleet representatives, and external Navy and Marine Corps stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise during Independent Logistics Assessments (ILAs), Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), and other Integrated Product Support forums.
- Execute or oversee resource and training planning efforts for defense acquisition programs, including participation in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Required Qualifications:
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 or NM-03 level in Federal service, or comparable experience in the private or public sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of logistics management principles, with a strong focus on Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MP&T) and Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs) in support of Navy acquisition programs.
- Proven ability to manage teams, mentor staff, and lead complex logistics projects throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
