Summary

Lead a federal law enforcement tactical team, ensuring security, managing operations, and responding to critical incidents nationally.

Join our federal law enforcement agency as a Team Leader for the Rapid Protection Force. This critical role involves leading tactical operations, ensuring national security readiness, and providing law enforcement services in government facilities. You will deploy nationally to address critical incidents and maintain a high level of operational readiness.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead and manage a law enforcement team, including work planning and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to exchange crime data.
  • Evaluate and ensure regular risk assessments for security systems.
  • Provide investigative and uniformed law enforcement services in government-owned or leased properties.
  • Serve as essential personnel, reporting during all continuity of operations events.
  • Deploy nationwide with or without established infrastructure as part of the Rapid Protection Force.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:** One year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-12 level in federal service, including leadership, crime data collaboration, and security system evaluation.
  • **Training & Certifications:**
* Successful completion of the basic Criminal Investigators Training Program (CITP) or Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP). * Completion of Advanced Individual Training Program (AITP) and Physical Security Training Program (PSTP). * Advanced tactical training for the Rapid Protection Force, including in-service and weapons qualifications.
  • **Physical & Medical:**
* Ability to perform strenuous and physically demanding duties, including taking suspects into custody and quick decision-making under pressure. * Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination (vision, hearing, cardiovascular, mobility). * Compliance with all OSHA requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • **Firearms:**
* Required to carry a firearm and maintain mandatory proficiency through quarterly qualifications. * Must not have a conviction for a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence (Lautenberg Amendment).
  • **General:**
* Possess a valid driver's license.

  • *Conditions of Employment:**
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Frequent travel is required.
  • Must sign a mobility agreement, accepting potential reassignment to different geographic locations.
