Summary
Supervise SAP application development, lead technical teams, and manage the full lifecycle within a federal enterprise.
Lead complex SAP application development as a Supervisory IT Specialist, driving innovation and managing technical teams in a federal enterprise setting. This role demands a leader adept at guiding the full SAP application lifecycle, implementing modern development practices, and ensuring robust, secure, and integrated solutions.
- *Key Responsibilities & Qualifications (GS-14 Level):**
Candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, demonstrating expertise in:
- **SAP Project Leadership:** Managing complex SAP application development projects, including ABAP, SAP Fiori, and SAP HANA technologies.
- **Team Supervision:** Providing technical leadership and direct supervision to IT development teams within an enterprise application environment.
- **Lifecycle Management:** Overseeing the entire SAP application lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, to implementation and maintenance.
- **Modern SDLC:** Implementing modern software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines in SAP environments.
- **Governance & Standards:** Developing and implementing IT governance processes, development standards, and quality assurance frameworks for enterprise applications.
- **System Integration & Security:** Integrating SAP applications with other enterprise systems, ensuring compliance with security requirements, federal IT standards, and enterprise architecture.
- **Resource & Budget Management:** Performing resource planning, budget formulation, and portfolio management for IT development initiatives.
- **Strategic Alignment:** Collaborating with senior leadership to align IT development priorities with organizational objectives, particularly in defense, logistics, or supply chain contexts.
- **IT Project Management:** Applying federal IT acquisition processes, IT project management frameworks (ITIL/PMI), and risk management principles to enterprise application development.
- **Technical Communication:** Documenting complex technical systems and effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
