Job Description

Summary

Supervise IT programs, leading software development lifecycle, risk management, and project execution for DLA platforms.

The Supervisory IT Program Manager (APPSW) plays a critical role in leading and managing IT programs, ensuring the successful delivery and sustainment of software solutions. This position requires expert guidance across the entire system development lifecycle, with a strong focus on risk management, architecture, and project execution.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead and direct IT program development and sustainment initiatives through all phases: planning, analysis, design, build, test, deployment, and implementation.
  • Provide specialized expertise in IT architecture, risk management, testing, system development, and maintenance.
  • Oversee and perform comprehensive risk management, including analysis, modeling, metric gathering, and developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis, breaking down functional processes for implementation across DLA Platforms and applications.
  • Develop workload assignments, recommend resource adjustments, and define execution strategies for IT programs.
  • Participate in "gap analysis" processes and the development of reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.
  • Assist leadership with budget formulation and execution by analyzing project data and prioritizing mission-essential requirements.
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of industry-standard project management methodologies for maximum program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
* Providing expertise in IT architecture, risk management, testing, system development, and maintenance. * Overseeing and performing risk management analysis and developing mitigation strategies. * Coordinating and directing system development lifecycle phases from planning through implementation. * Participating in gap analysis and developing solutions (reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions). * Assisting with budget formulation and execution for IT projects. * Directing requirements analysis for software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects. * Interpreting functional requirements for platform and application implementation. * Developing workload assignments and recommending program adjustments and strategies. * Assuring the use of industry-standard project management methodologies.
