Job Description
Summary
Lead senior-level trade and industry competitiveness research, manage analytical teams, and represent the agency in key stakeholder engagements.
To qualify for this GS-15 position, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. This experience should demonstrate a normal level of progression and senior-level knowledge within the occupation.
Required specialized experience must include specific experience in at least four of the following six areas:
- Developing proposals for individual studies and/or research assignments focused on analyzing trade and industry competitiveness, encompassing planning, information assembly, analysis, evaluation, conclusions, and report preparation.
- Oversight of project teams conducting research or analysis, including determining methods and scope for task accomplishment.
- Recognizing and evaluating factors in domestic and foreign supply and demand, including regulatory and standards matters, to draw rational inferences based on research findings.
- Planning, distributing, coordinating, and monitoring work assignments of others; evaluating work performance and providing feedback; ensuring appropriate staff selection, utilization, development, and fair treatment.
- Reviewing written and statistical products prepared by staff for quality control purposes and making critical decisions regarding program outputs and functions.
- Representing the agency before other federal agencies and stakeholders to secure cooperation, develop and negotiate cooperative agreements, and collaborate on special projects.
