Supervisory Health System Specialist - System Redesign

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Health System Specialist - Supervisory Facility Systems Redesign Coordinator (GS-13) to lead and manage healthcare performance improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise an administrative component within a healthcare system, specializing in facility-wide performance improvement programs and projects. * Develop and implement performance improvement techniques and strategies for continuous quality improvement. * Collaborate directly with clinicians and local leadership to drive organizational and system-wide change. * Analyze and coordinate administrative, clinical, and other service activities to enhance healthcare delivery. **Minimum Qualifications:** Applicants must possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal Service, or comparable experience in the private sector. This experience must be directly related to the position's work and demonstrate the following: * Progressively responsible analytical, administrative, clinical management, or supervisory experience in the healthcare field. * Experience working within a healthcare setting, directly with clinicians and leadership to develop and apply performance improvement techniques. * Ability to implement organizational and system-wide strategies for continuous quality improvement. * Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, regulatory/credentialing standards, and administrative areas (e.g., budget, personnel, procurement). **Preferred Qualifications:** * One year of experience at the GS-12 level specifically in Systems Redesign. * A combination of two or more of the following certifications/experiences: * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification * Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) * Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) expertise * Project Management Professional (PMP) with demonstrated comprehensive change management within a healthcare organization. **Core Competencies:** * Analytical Reasoning * Communication * Education and Training * Manages Human Resources * Organizational Performance Improvement **Work Environment:** This position primarily functions in a standard office setting, requiring the ability to walk, sit, and stand.
