Job Description

Summary

Professional Engineer needed to manage energy programs, drive sustainability, and oversee project budgets.

This role seeks a dedicated Engineering professional to develop, implement, and manage critical energy programs. You will drive sustainability initiatives, collaborate with key stakeholders, and oversee significant energy projects with budget responsibilities.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive energy programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership, stakeholders, and government agencies to establish sustainability goals, policies, and performance measures.
  • Oversee and manage energy projects, including budget development and formulation.
  • *Requirements:**
  • *Education (One of the following is required; transcripts must be submitted):**
  • **Bachelor's Degree in Engineering:** From an ABET-accredited program, or a program including differential/integral calculus and advanced courses in at least five specified engineering science/physics areas (e.g., statics, thermodynamics, electrical fields, materials).
  • **Combination of Education and Experience:** College-level education and/or technical experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of physical/mathematical sciences underlying engineering, plus a practical understanding of engineering sciences and their applications. Adequacy must be demonstrated by one of the following:
* Current professional registration (Engineer Intern, Engineer in Training, or Professional Engineer). * Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination. * At least 60 semester hours in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, including specified core engineering courses. * Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Physics, Computer Science, Hydrology) and at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional supervision.

  • *Specialized Experience:**
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Federal service (or comparable). This experience must include:
* Developing, implementing, and managing energy programs. * Collaborating with leadership, stakeholders, and government agencies on sustainability goals, policies, and performance measures. * Overseeing and managing energy projects, including budget development and formulation.
