Join our team as a Financial Management Specialist, leading acquisition processes and ensuring fiscal compliance for major programs. We are seeking a seasoned professional with strong leadership and analytical skills.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead financial management (FM) acquisition processes, supporting development, investment, and sustainment decisions for major programs.
  • Formulate budget baselines and meticulously track variances.
  • Manage guidance distribution, deadlines, and integrate diverse deliverables from subordinate units into unified, timely, and compliant responses.
  • Deliver fiscally compliant and favorable outcomes for program offices and leadership.
  • Cultivate and promote a positive, productive work climate for direct reports and colleagues.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Experience:**
* At least 1 year of specialized experience at a GS-13 equivalent level. * Proven experience leading teams and managing FM acquisition processes. * Demonstrated ability in budget baseline formulation and variance tracking. * Strong communication skills for distributing guidance and integrating deliverables. * In-depth knowledge of FM regulations supporting the DoD acquisition framework. * Track record of achieving fiscally compliant program outcomes.
  • **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):**
* Comprehensive understanding of OMB, Congressional, and agency financial management objectives, budget precedents, and regulations. * Familiarity with agency budget, automated financial systems, and performance metric procedures. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, applying analytical methods to budgetary processes. * Proficiency in conducting studies, analyzing data, developing strategies, and recommending solutions for budget/manpower issues. * Knowledge of personnel systems supporting financial management career development (AFMC). * Understanding of EEO, safety, and security regulations. * Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Strong ability to plan, organize, and direct organizational functions and staff.

  • *Note:** Relevant part-time, unpaid, and volunteer experience will be credited towards qualifications.
