Summary

Seeking an experienced finance professional to lead staff, review financial data, and prepare reports, requiring strong accounting and Title VII knowledge.

We are seeking a highly experienced finance professional to oversee financial activities and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires strong accounting expertise, leadership skills, and an understanding of investigative processes.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Organize and coordinate staff activities.
  • Apply deep knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal controls to review financial reports and statements for accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on financial data, analyzing overall trends and their underlying causes.
  • Utilize knowledge of the Title VII investigative process.
  • *Basic Requirements:**

Candidates must meet one of the following:

  • **Education:** A degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or auditing.
  • **Related Education:** A degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, finance, public administration) that includes or is supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing (up to 6 hours may be business law).
  • **Combination of Education & Experience:** At least 4 years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. This must also include one of the following:
* 24 semester hours in appropriate accounting/auditing courses (up to 6 hours business law). * A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certificate obtained through written examination. * Completion of a degree with substantial accounting coursework (e.g., 15 semester hours), *and* demonstrated successful full-performance level accounting/auditing work, *and* peer assessment confirming equivalent breadth and depth of accounting knowledge.

  • *Specialized Experience (GS-15 Level):**
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the federal or private sector.
  • *Important Note:** All experience, including paid and unpaid (e.g., volunteer work through national service programs or other organizations), will be credited towards qualifying requirements. Your resume and supporting documents must clearly demonstrate all qualifications by the closing date.
