Supervisory Federal Air Marshal (Promotional)

The Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Supervisory Federal Air Marshal. This demanding role involves leading critical aviation security operations, requiring exceptional law enforcement skills, physical endurance, and a commitment to extensive travel and unpredictable schedules.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Conduct advanced law enforcement operations to ensure aviation security.
• Maintain expert firearms proficiency and readiness for deadly force application.
• Engage in moderate to arduous physical exertion and defensive tactics.
• Travel constantly, domestically and internationally, often to potentially hazardous locations.
• Serve on 24-hour on-call duty, with irregular schedules, extended hours, and changing shifts.
• Accept permanent or long-term temporary assignments globally where FAMS operates.
• *Minimum Qualifications:**
• Must be a current, credentialed TSA LE/FAMS Federal Air Marshal.
• Possess a minimum of one year of federal primary/rigorous law enforcement experience at the SV-1801-I Pay Band (GS-13) or equivalent.
• *Conditions of Employment:**
• Sign a Mobility Agreement.
• Obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance, requiring a comprehensive background investigation and credit check.
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Meet and maintain rigorous medical and physical requirements for law enforcement officers, including physical abilities assessments.
• Successfully complete all mandatory training programs.
• Must not have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence (Lautenberg Notice).
• Volunteer experience through National Service programs or other organizations is considered qualifying experience.
• All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
