## Supervisory Clinical Laboratory Scientist (GS-12)
Join our team as a Supervisory Clinical Laboratory Scientist, where you will lead and manage complex laboratory operations at a VA facility. This role combines advanced technical expertise with significant supervisory responsibilities, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

### Qualifications
- **Citizenship & Language:** U.S. Citizenship and proficiency in spoken and written English.
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related science (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology).
- **Certification:** Generalist certification as an MLS (ASCP BOC or AMT) or MT (ASCP BOR or AMT).
- **Experience:** One year of creditable experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, directly related to the position.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, state, and laboratory accrediting agency laws and regulations.
- Expertise in laboratory quality management principles and procedures.
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory technology concepts, principles, and operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including interpersonal relations and conflict resolution.
- Ability to perform a full range of supervisory duties, including staff assignment, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Ability to plan, organize, set goals, and conduct studies on technical and administrative problems.
- Proficiency in managing fiscal matters and administering budgets.
This role involves intermittent moderate lifting (15-44 lbs), light carrying, extensive use of fingers and hands, walking/standing for up to 4 hours, repeated bending, stooping, and kneeling. Requires ability to distinguish colors, near vision, hearing (aid permitted), high cognitive function in a fast-paced environment, emotional stability, and the ability to wear personal protective equipment. Shift rotation may be required.
