Seeking an experienced Forensic Chemist (GS-14) to lead and perform advanced lab analysis of explosives, fire debris, and trace evidence.
## Forensic Chemist / Forensic Examiner (GS-14)
We are seeking an experienced Forensic Chemist/Examiner to lead and conduct advanced laboratory casework in the analysis of explosives, fire debris, and trace evidence.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams or mentor junior forensic examiners.
- Conduct in-depth laboratory casework for the forensic examination of explosives, fire debris, and/or trace evidence.
- Actively participate in routine proficiency testing to maintain high analytical standards.
- *Experience:**
- Minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.
- **Specialized Experience (required for GS-14):**
- *Education:**
- A degree in physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering is required.
- Coursework must include:
- **or** A combination of equivalent coursework (as listed above) plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- All qualification requirements, including time-in-grade (if applicable), must be met by **November 19, 2025**.
