Summary

Seeking a forensic DNA analyst to lead complex examinations, apply scientific expertise, and communicate findings effectively.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead forensic DNA analysis efforts at a GS-14 level. This role involves applying advanced scientific expertise to complex evidence, providing leadership, and effectively communicating critical findings.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide leadership or lead a team in forensic DNA analysis.
  • Conduct complex examinations of various evidence types to identify biological material for forensic DNA analysis.
  • Clearly and concisely convey the results and concepts of forensic DNA analysis, both orally and in writing.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • *Education:**
  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • or a combination of equivalent coursework and relevant experience or additional education.
  • *Experience:**
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level.
  • **Specialized experience must include:**
* Providing leadership or leading a team. * Performing complex examinations to identify biological material for forensic DNA analysis. * Effectively communicating forensic DNA analysis results and concepts (verbally and in writing).
