Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly qualified Accountant/Auditor (GS-12) to join our team. This role requires robust financial expertise and adherence to accounting principles.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Record and analyze financial accounting data for commercial manufacturing entities, adhering to U.S. and foreign GAAP.
• Assist in planning and executing GAAP-compliant financial statement audits.
• Analyze product cost calculations for commercial manufacturing operations.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• **Experience:** At least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service.

* Specialized experience includes work in financial accounting analysis (GAAP), financial statement auditing support, or manufacturing product cost analysis.

• **Education:** Must meet one of the following criteria:

* **Option A:** A Bachelor's degree in Accounting; or a degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, finance, public administration) that includes or is supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours in business law acceptable). * **Option B:** A combination of at least 4 years of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge, and one of the following: * 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing courses (up to 6 hours in business law acceptable). * A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certificate obtained via written examination. * Completion of a degree with substantial accounting coursework (e.g., 15 semester hours), plus successful full-performance work in accounting/auditing, and verification by senior professional accountants.

• *Note:** Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, will be credited towards all qualifying experience.
