Summary
Seeking a Public Sector Solutions Architect to lead customers in designing and implementing secure, innovative AWS cloud solutions.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our growing Public Sector practice. This role requires U.S. citizenship.

- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Own technical engagements for implementation projects.
- Provide best practices to customers for AWS adoption.
- Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and application construction on the platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security for customer applications and services.
- Lead efforts to capture and share best practices within the AWS Solution Architect community.
- Help customers design and create robust cloud computing architectures.
- *Required Skills & Experience:**
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries.
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructures.
- Experience designing, developing, deploying, or migrating to cloud environments.
- Proficiency in web site/services operations, management, and security.
- Strong technical presentation skills, including whiteboard, small, and large group presentations.
- Familiarity with security best practices for applications, servers, and networks.
- Ability to travel 30%.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Knowledge of SAP systems (e.g., SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, BW, HANA, Business Objects) and their architecture/infrastructure needs.
- Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
