Sr Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect for our Public Sector practice. In this role, you will help customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions, solve complex technical problems, and accelerate their adoption of AWS. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead technical engagements for specific AWS implementation projects. * Provide best practices for cloud architectures and migration strategies. * Develop deep expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront). * Serve as a subject matter expert on security for customer applications and services. * Design and create scalable, secure cloud computing architectures. * Deliver compelling technical presentations to various audiences. * Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive AWS adoption. * Capture and share best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** * 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics. * 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, or consulting for applications and infrastructures. * 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries. * Proven experience designing, developing, deploying, and/or migrating to cloud environments. * Experience with website/services operations, management, and security. **Preferred Qualifications:** * 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience. * Experience working with end-user or developer communities. **Special Requirements:** * Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a federal government clearance. * Ability to travel up to 30%. **Compensation:** The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year to $239,000/year, depending on market location, knowledge, skills, and experience. A total compensation package may also include equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
