## Business Development Manager, Private Equity

Join AWS as a Business Development Manager, where you will drive the adoption of Amazon Web Services within the Private Equity (PE) community and their portfolio companies. This role offers the exciting opportunity to shape strategy and build mind share for AWS in the cloud computing space.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies.
  • Identify target PEs and drive strategic, business, and technical engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with AWS sales teams to build long-term business opportunities.
  • Execute strategic business development plans, working with internal stakeholders (sales, partners, marketing, support).
  • Ensure PE firms and portfolio companies successfully utilize AWS, providing necessary technical resources.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems effectively.
  • Present business reviews to senior management, highlighting progress and addressing roadblocks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between AWS and the PE community.
  • Manage a high volume of engagements in a fast-paced cloud computing market.
  • Possess foundational technical knowledge (e.g., database systems, distributed computing, cloud fundamentals, storage, CDNs) with the ability to differentiate AWS services.
### Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence organizational leadership decisions.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
### Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience interpreting data to make business recommendations.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving business outcomes through executive-level stakeholder relationships and influencing strategic decision-making.
### Compensation: The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year to $220,200/year, varying by market location and experience. Total compensation includes equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
