Summary

Lead digital communications and recruitment marketing strategies to attract top instructional talent to DCPS.

The Specialist, Communications & Digital Strategy will report to the Manager, Teacher Recruitment.

  • *About the Role:**
Join the Office of School Improvement and Supports to lead digital communication strategies for recruiting exceptional instructional staff, school leaders, and related service providers for DCPS. This role focuses on enhancing candidate engagement through strategic outreach and clear, consistent messaging across all platforms.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Implement an innovative national recruitment strategy for instructional staff.
  • Author and execute clear, strategic communications aligned with district vision.
  • Manage digital marketing and outreach strategies for recruitment.
  • Develop and execute social media campaigns to support talent acquisition.
  • Create and maintain a user-friendly resource bank for candidates and transferring teachers.
  • Manage internal and external email communications and newsletters.
  • Create, edit, and update content for recruitment microsites, ensuring brand continuity.
  • Monitor and respond to candidate inquiries via email accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and address urgent requests.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related work experience; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience designing and leveraging digital media, including social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communication skills, especially under time constraints.
  • Proven ability to craft strategic, culturally-responsive communications for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Web design experience is preferred.
  • Previous exposure to or experience in the education sector is a plus.
