Job Description
Summary
Quality Assurance/Program Specialist needed to ensure program quality, improve performance, and apply crisis management principles (GS-9/11).
Join our team as a Quality Assurance / Program Specialist, where you will play a vital role in upholding service quality and driving performance improvements. This position offers career progression at both GS-9 and GS-11 levels.

- *Key Responsibilities (May vary by grade level):**
- Develop and distribute comprehensive quality assessment reports.
- Conduct evaluations for educational and programmatic improvements.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve performance and quality assurance issues.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback to staff.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, fostering collaboration and efficient resource connection.
- *(GS-11 specific):* Apply crisis theory and intervention principles, managing the full crisis response process from assessment to follow-up.
- *What We're Looking For:**
- **Basic Qualification:** A four-year degree in a behavioral or social science (or related field), or an equivalent combination of education and experience, or four years of relevant experience demonstrating knowledge of behavioral/social sciences.
- **Federal Applicants:** Must meet time-in-grade requirements.
- **Valued Competencies:** Strong communication, technical proficiency, ability to teach others, organizational awareness, and attention to detail.
- Volunteer experience is recognized and counts towards qualifying experience.
- *Specific Requirements by Grade Level:**
- *GS-9 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7, which must include at least three of the following: designing quality reports, conducting evaluations, identifying QA issues, providing staff coaching, or monitoring quality standards.
- **Education:** Master's degree or 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a directly related field.
- **Combination:** An equivalent mix of specialized experience and graduate education.
- *GS-11 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-9, which must include at least five of the following: designing quality reports, conducting evaluations, identifying QA issues, providing staff coaching, monitoring quality standards, applying crisis theory, or performing crisis management steps.
- **Education:** Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a directly related field.
- **Combination:** An equivalent mix of specialized experience and graduate education (beyond the first 2 years).
- *Physical Requirements:** This is a sedentary role.
