Server Engineer Windows Web Farm

BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Windows Engineer to manage, secure, and optimize Windows and SQL services for a critical Federal Government website. This role involves comprehensive system administration, security implementation, and automation to ensure high performance and reliability.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Manage and administer Windows servers, including OS, IIS, and SQL Server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Administer Active Directory for user, group, and access control management.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and support for Windows, SQL, and IIS issues, particularly on Azure.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal service disruption.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization for Windows systems.
• Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Research and implement security settings according to industry standards and policies.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for task automation and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee webhosting on the Windows platform, ensuring optimal performance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors for seamless system integration.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated mastery of required skills.
• Proven experience managing Windows server environments.
• Demonstrated skills managing SQL and IIS for website hosting.
• Strong scripting abilities.
• Strong Cyber compliance experience.
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Database Administrator, Azure Virtual Network Administrator).
• Cyber Security Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• *Salary Range:** $95,106 - $161,680 annually
