Full Stack Web Designer/Developer sought for federal government web sites, leveraging React, Node.js, Azure. Active Top Secret clearance essential.

BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Designer/Developer to design, develop, secure, operate, and maintain a critical Federal Government Web Site.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Full Stack Development:** Manage both frontend (user interfaces, responsiveness, performance) and backend (server-side logic, APIs, data processing) aspects throughout the development lifecycle.
  • **API Integration:** Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to ensure seamless data flow between components.
  • **Database Management:** Design, implement, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases, focusing on integrity, performance optimization, migrations, and backups.
  • **DevOps & Cloud:** Automate deployment processes, manage Azure cloud infrastructure (App Service, Functions), and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • **Security:** Implement authentication, authorization, data encryption, conduct security audits, and code reviews following industry best practices.
  • **Compliance & Accessibility:** Ensure strict compliance with Federal Web site requirements, including Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • **Quality Assurance:** Identify and resolve bugs, optimize performance, and implement comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • **Collaboration:** Work closely with designers, product managers, and stakeholders, communicate technical efforts, and manage version control with Git.
  • **Continuous Improvement:** Stay updated with emerging technologies and continuously enhance development practices.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • **Active Top Secret Clearance**.
  • **Frontend:** 5+ years with React (JavaScript/TypeScript), including component design, state management, and accessibility.
  • **Backend:** 3-5 years with Node.js (or equivalent) for building RESTful APIs, authentication, and authorization.
  • **Database:** Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (T-SQL, performance tuning, migrations, backups).
  • **Web Server & CDN:** Hands-on experience with IIS 7+ and Akamai CDN configuration.
  • **Cloud/Infrastructure:** Experience with Azure (App Service, Azure Functions, ARM/Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines).
  • **Version Control & CI/CD:** Proficient with Git (CLI) and pipeline design using Azure DevOps.
  • **Security:** Solid understanding of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and data encryption.
  • **Accessibility:** Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1, familiarity with accessibility testing tools.
  • **Automated Testing:** Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
  • *Preferred Skills:**
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Monitoring & observability tools (Azure Monitor, Splunk).
  • Prior federal government web experience.
  • Additional security certifications (SEC+, CISM, CEH).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep).
  • Familiarity with US Web Design System (USWDS).
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and lead code reviews.
  • *Salary & Benefits:**
  • **Salary Range:** $115,779 - $196,825 annually.
