Summary

GEICO seeks a Senior UX/UI Designer to create intuitive digital experiences by translating complex processes and applying human-centered design principles.

GEICO is hiring a **Senior UX/UI Designer** to translate complex business processes into intuitive digital experiences. This hybrid role (2-3 days on-site in Chevy Chase, MD or Seattle, WA) requires a systems-minded, customer-obsessed professional who can combine strong interaction and visual design skills. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to simplify complexity, uncover needs, and deliver connected experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate customer and operational needs into clear digital experiences.
  • Map and analyze complex multi-user/multi-system processes to identify pain points and opportunities for simplification.
  • Design logical, end-to-end workflows that seamlessly integrate web, mobile, and internal tools.
  • Synthesize research insights, business rules, and system constraints into intuitive UX flows and interface logic.
  • Partner with product management to prioritize improvements that deliver both user and business impact.
  • Participate in working sessions and design critiques to align cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, clearly illustrating design intent.
  • Apply brand and accessibility standards consistently, ensuring functional clarity and usability.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • 5+ years of experience (or 3+ with a Master's) in UX or Product Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating the translation of real-world workflows into digital experiences.
  • Proven ability to map complex, multi-user or multi-system processes and translate them into efficient, user-centered digital flows.
  • Experience designing across multiple touchpoints, including web, mobile, internal tools, and service environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize pain points using data, feedback, and stakeholder input.
  • Strong systems thinking, information architecture, and understanding of interaction logic across products.
  • Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent tools) for user journey mapping, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Comfort facilitating workshops, interviews, or audits to understand current processes and define improvement opportunities.
  • Strong visual design and storytelling skills, capable of communicating ideas clearly through polished artifacts and presentations.
  • Experience working within or extending an established design system to maintain cohesion across digital products.
  • *Compensation & Logistics:**
  • **Annual Salary:** $109,675.00 - $172,200.00
  • **Work Arrangement:** Hybrid (2-3 days on-site) in Chevy Chase, MD or Seattle, WA.
