## Senior UI/UX Designer

CGS is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to lead full-scale user experience efforts for a large Federal agency's technical support initiatives. You will be instrumental in defining, designing, and implementing highly usable, intuitive solutions that enhance government innovation.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end UX design, including research, blueprinting, and system evaluation.
  • Manage the design and implementation of multiple sites and applications simultaneously.
  • Conduct comprehensive user research and analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with federal engineers and clients to deliver innovative design solutions.
  • Develop wireframes, storyboards, site maps, and high-fidelity UI mockups.
  • Create scalable design resources to support project collaboration.
  • Evaluate existing systems, identify UX issues, and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure designs comply with 508 and US Web Design System (USWDS) standards.
  • Prioritize features based on user goals and business requirements.
  • Establish and maintain rapid customer feedback loops.
  • Mentor junior designers.
### Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 10+ years of combined professional UI/UX design and User-Centered Design (UCD) experience.
  • Strong online portfolio showcasing research-driven, responsive web and mobile application designs.
  • Expertise in user research methodologies, UCD principles, frameworks, and UI design standards.
  • Advanced understanding of user personas, user flows, and affinity mapping.
  • Strong grasp of the full website development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to carry designs from wireframes to final high-fidelity mockups.
  • Results-oriented problem solver with high standards for quality and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with both new designs and redesigns for established platforms.
  • Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
### Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile methodology for project management.
  • Proficiency in creating and modifying data visualizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-focused skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
