Experienced Senior Social Worker for advanced clinical practice, requiring a Master's degree, advanced state licensure, and 2+ years post-licensure experience.
## Senior Social Worker, GS-12
We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to provide expert clinical services within a specialized area of practice. This role involves delivering advanced psychosocial interventions, providing consultation, and contributing to program development to enhance patient well-being.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver specialized interventions and treatment modalities, including individual, group, and/or family counseling or psychotherapy.
- Provide advanced-level psychosocial and case management services.
- Conduct differential diagnosis and treatment, incorporating complex multiple causation within approved clinical privileges.
- Develop and implement methods for measuring social work practice effectiveness, utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services and design system changes.
- Offer specialized consultation to colleagues and students on psychosocial treatment, role modeling effective social work practice skills.
- Expand clinical knowledge within the social work profession and contribute to writing policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the service area.
- *Qualifications:**
- *Education:**
- Master's degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) fully accredited school.
- *Licensure:**
- Current state licensure or certification to independently practice social work at the master's degree level.
- For the Senior Social Worker (GS-12) level, state licensure or certification at the advanced practice level, which includes an advanced generalist or clinical examination.
- Ability to provide supervision for licensure.
- *Experience:**
- At least two (2) years of experience post-advanced practice clinical licensure in a specialized area of social work practice.
- One (1) year of this experience must be equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, demonstrating advanced practice skills and judgment.
- Proven expertise as an expert in a specialized area of practice.
- *Required Skills & Abilities:**
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Skill in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities.
- Ability to incorporate complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment.
- Knowledge in developing and implementing methods for measuring the effectiveness of social work practice and services.
- Ability to provide specialized consultation to colleagues and students.
- Ability to expand clinical knowledge and contribute to policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines.
- *Preferred Experience:**
- Minimum of two (2) years experience providing individual and group psychotherapy within a mental health/behavioral health team.
- Experience providing a wide range of evidence-based treatments for various diagnostic presentations.
- Telemental health experience, specifically using VA Video Connect (VVC) for psychotherapy.
- *Other Requirements:**
- United States Citizenship required.
