## Senior Social Worker, GS-12
Join our dedicated team as a Senior Social Worker, providing advanced clinical social work services and expert psychosocial support to Veterans. This challenging role demands specialized skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to advancing the social work profession.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized interventions and treatment modalities, including individual, group, and/or family counseling and psychotherapy.
- Conduct advanced level psychosocial assessments and comprehensive case management.
- Integrate complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment within approved clinical privileges.
- Develop and implement effective methods for measuring social work practice and service outcomes.
- Utilize outcome evaluations to enhance treatment services and propose systemic improvements.
- Provide specialized consultation to colleagues and students regarding psychosocial treatment.
- Model exemplary social work practice skills.
- Actively expand clinical knowledge within the social work profession.
- Contribute to the creation of policies, procedures, and practice guidelines.
- Offer clinical supervision for social work licensure or certification.
- **Citizenship:** Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- **English Language Proficiency:** Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written English.
- **Education:** Master's degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited program.

### Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Veterans, particularly in Pain Clinics or intensive outpatient programs addressing mental illness and pain syndromes.
- Proficiency in evidence-based practices within a Veteran-centric environment.
- At least two years of specialized social work practice experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Post-master's certification or training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university, including a defined curriculum/internship in a specialty.
