Job Description

Summary

Expertly analyze nuclear reactor systems for safety, compliance, and risk, communicating critical findings to stakeholders.

This role requires an experienced professional to perform independent, expert reviews and analyses of nuclear reactor systems and components. Key responsibilities include evaluating design and functional capabilities, assessing analytical methods from licensees or applicants for compliance with NRC regulations and safety criteria, and conducting comprehensive radiological consequence and reliability/risk analyses. The position involves communicating complex technical findings effectively to diverse internal and external stakeholders, both orally and in writing.

  • *Qualifications:**
  • Minimum one year of specialized experience at the GG-14 federal level or equivalent in the private/public sector.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive, expert knowledge in reactor system design, functional analysis, and NRC regulatory compliance.
  • Proven direct responsibility for radiological consequence analysis and complex reliability/risk analysis.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for technical discussions with stakeholders.
  • Must meet basic educational requirements.
