Lead high-impact digital content strategy and production for a global nonprofit, advancing advocacy and brand goals.

We are seeking a **Senior Communications Officer – Content** for a **12-month limited-term position** within our Brand, Editorial, and Content (BEC) team. This role focuses on shaping and delivering high-impact digital content and live activations to advance the foundation’s advocacy, brand, and storytelling goals globally.

- Lead end-to-end content development for digital campaigns, executive voice, and storytelling moments, aligning with brand and advocacy priorities.
- Serve as a hands-on producer: travel internationally (up to 25%) to capture stories, conduct interviews, and lead on-site production teams.
- Commission and create high-performing content for diverse digital and social platforms.
- Translate complex strategies (e.g., maternal, newborn, child health) into compelling creative briefs and narratives for diverse audiences.
- Guide content through the full production process from ideation to publication, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content is grounded in audience insights and measurement.
- Support live storytelling activations (panel events, screenings, campaign launches).
- Manage creative vendor relationships, project budgets, and production timelines efficiently.
- *What You'll Bring:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Multimedia, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in communications, with a strong emphasis on content production and digital media.
- Proven portfolio of visual or written work and high-impact social content.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end content production, including creative direction, on-location fieldwork, and post-production.
- Proficiency in developing cross-channel content strategies and creative briefs, particularly for global health or development topics.
- Strong understanding of digital and social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube) and what drives reach, engagement, and performance.
- Experience working with creative vendors, agencies, or production teams to deliver high-quality content on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of global health and development issues (e.g., maternal, newborn, and child health) with the ability to convey them accessibly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, deep listening, and interpersonal skills, especially when working with sensitive stories.
- Background in nonprofit, public health, government, or advocacy communications preferred; global or cross-cultural experience highly valued.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- *Salary Range:** $169,700 - $254,500 USD Annual. (Seattle/Washington D.C. range: $185,000 - $277,400 USD). Actual placement depends on skills, experience, and expertise.
