Seeking a creative Digital Content Creator to manage social media, email, and web content for American University's Kogod School of Business.
The Kogod School of Business at American University seeks a creative and detail-oriented **Digital Content Creator** to join its marketing and communications team. This role focuses on developing engaging multimedia content, managing social media, and overseeing email newsletters to support the school’s enrollment initiatives.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Social Media Management:** Draft, create (using Canva), post, and schedule dynamic social media content following calendars.
- **Website Support:** Upload blog articles, draft web pages, and manage CRM contacts within the Content Management System (CMS).
- **Email Marketing:** Independently manage email newsletter projects, including writing, editing, list management, and distribution.
- **Content Creation:** Craft engaging, clear, and strategic copy for various digital platforms that complements visual content.
- **Event Coverage:** Provide live social media coverage and conduct interviews at events to support content development.
- **Quality Assurance:** Ensure all content adheres to Kogod’s branding, accessibility, and quality standards.
- **Digital Asset Management:** Organize and manage multimedia content for brand awareness and lead generation campaigns.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in digital content creation or marketing.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and interviewing skills.
- Strong eye for design and ability to adhere to brand guidelines.
- Meticulous attention to detail (grammar, style, design).
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and Canva.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of the social media landscape and digital storytelling.
- Ability to contribute creative content ideas and strategies.
- Familiarity with interpreting research papers.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.

- **Salary:** $65,000 - $70,000 annually.
