Senior Corporate Communications Consultant (Govt Programs) - (Hybrid)

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Consultant to join its Government Programs division in Washington, DC. This role focuses on developing and executing strategic communications for ACA, Medicaid, and the newly implemented Basic Health Plan, aiming to engage members and inform them effectively.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies across various audiences and channels.
• Direct the creation of strategic communications, including print materials, digital content (website, social media), presentations, thought leadership, and go-to-market campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Business Divisions, Marketing, Brand, Product, Legal, and Compliance.
• Present communication strategies to executive leadership and contribute to high-level strategy development.
• Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
• *Qualifications:**
• *Education:**
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• *Or* an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• *Experience:**
• 8 years of professional communications experience.
• *Preferred Experience & Skills:**
• 3+ years in sales and/or health insurance.
• Experience with regulated healthcare programs and government regulations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare trends.
• Demonstrated leadership in marketing communications and strategic planning.
• Excellent proofreading, editing, and executive-level presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• *Salary Range:**

$82,440 - $163,735. Salary is determined by factors including experience, education, internal equity, and market considerations. In addition to compensation, CareFirst offers a comprehensive benefits package.
