Manage Aspen Digital's social media and digital content strategy, driving engagement and brand visibility for a leading nonprofit program.

We are seeking a **Senior Associate, Digital Communications** to manage digital content, implement social media plans, and support Aspen Digital’s overall communication strategy. This hybrid position is based in Washington, DC, requiring approximately two days per week in-office.

  • *Salary:** $70,000 - $85,000 per year.
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for Aspen Digital, including campaigns for public summits.
  • Create, draft, edit, and schedule engaging content for platforms like LinkedIn, BlueSky, and X to grow followers and enhance engagement.
  • Design original digital assets, including social media graphics and video, using platforms such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Capture and generate social media content from in-person and virtual events for live sharing and recap materials.
  • Support Aspen Digital leaders by proposing content ideas and drafting copy for their social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Brand Strategy and Marketing on communication rollouts and campaigns.
  • Maintain a digital content calendar aligned with program goals, announcements, publications, and events.
  • Monitor social media performance, track key KPIs, and actively engage with audiences and affiliated contacts.
  • Stay informed on emerging social media trends and influencers.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate digital communications and event materials.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in social media, digital/strategic communications, or journalism.
  • Demonstrated track record in content creation, account maintenance, and engagement across social media platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting abilities.
  • Proficiency in graphic design best practices and creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva).
  • Familiarity with content management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite).
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Familiarity or interest in AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technology issues.
  • Experience overseeing or working on longer-term digital communication campaigns.
  • Experience in starting and growing audiences for new social media channels.
  • Knowledge of best practices for LinkedIn.
