This essential onsite position provides critical administrative and customer service support to the U.S. Senate, requiring availability during non-traditional hours.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Process and manage printing, stationery, and frame shop orders.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and receptionist support.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ensure continuous support for essential U.S. Senate services.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • 5-7 years of direct customer service or receptionist experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple management levels.
  • Capacity to quickly learn and adhere to departmental rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • *Desired Qualifications:**
  • Previous experience within a congressional or U.S. Senate office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service in high-stakes environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Experience supporting human resources processes (e.g., recruitment, onboarding).

  • *Work Environment & Expectations:**
  • This is an essential services position, requiring onsite presence to support the U.S. Senate.
  • Must be available and prepared to work during government shutdowns, inclement weather, holidays, late nights, overnight, and weekend sessions.
  • This position is considered 'excepted' during government furloughs.
