Summary

Expert Security Professional to lead and implement comprehensive security programs for a defense intelligence agency.

## Security Professional (GG-12 Equivalent)

Join our team as a Full Performance Security Professional within the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). This role is critical for planning, implementing, and managing robust security programs across various domains.

### Key Responsibilities

  • Independently analyze, review, and resolve complex security problems and challenges.
  • Plan, implement, and administer comprehensive security programs (information, operations, personnel, physical, industrial, and special security).
  • Coordinate effectively with other specialized security programs.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing security programs to meet mission requirements and improve unit security.
  • Assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
  • Review plans for new projects, organizations, or missions to ensure adequate information security planning and controls.
### Required Qualifications
  • **Experience:** Specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, demonstrating deep knowledge of security concepts, principles, and practices.
  • **Knowledge:** Comprehensive understanding of a wide range of security program relationships, including expertise in information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, and special security.
  • **Knowledge:** Advanced understanding of security classification methods and eligibility for access to classified information.
  • **Skills:** Proven ability to develop, analyze, and evaluate complex security programs.
  • **Communication:** Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • **Collaboration:** Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with colleagues and customers.
### Important Conditions of Employment
  • **Drug Testing:** This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP), requiring initial and periodic short-notice drug testing.
  • **DCIPS:** Position is in the excepted service, covered by DCIPS, and requires signing a Statement of Understanding.
  • **Certification:** Must obtain Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of assignment to this position.
