Job Description

Summary

Lead Industrial Security compliance, develop security procedures, and manage classified information for the Naval Research Laboratory.

Join the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) as an Industrial Security Specialist. You will be instrumental in managing robust security protocols for classified and sensitive information.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Lead industrial security compliance for assigned NRL contracts.
  • Develop and recommend procedures for the NRL Industrial Security Management Program.
  • Assist in creating comprehensive security guides for classified efforts.
  • Review and approve the proper handling, storage, and safeguarding of classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI/NSI).
  • Provide guidance on security policies for the destruction of classified IT hardware and software.
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 to GS-10 Federal level, or comparable experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience must include demonstrated capabilities in security compliance, program development, and classified information management.
  • Volunteer experience is recognized and valued.
